The Lost Angel Collective

Every flavor review, every device guide, every blinking-code breakdown on this site comes from one of three reviewers. We don't hide behind "the team" — when you read a Lost Angel review, you know whose tongue tasted the Pina Colada pod and whose thumb cycled through the Sphere 35K's display.

Three Reviewers. One Standard.

Marcus Velasquez

Lead device reviewer

Eight years writing for the US disposable-vape category. Marcus owns the hardware desk — every device that lands in the Mount Vernon warehouse goes through him first. Activation timing, charge cycle, draw resistance, blinking-code mapping: if a Mate 50K behaves weird, Marcus is the one filing the ticket with the factory.

Bylines: Lost Angel device guides, troubleshooting, charging, authenticity walkthroughs.

Elena Ricci

Flavor lead

Background in food science and a side gig as a tea sommelier. Elena writes the flavor-profile reviews you read on every pod page — Berry Bliss, Pina Colada, Sour Apple Ice, Strawberry Shortcake. She breaks each one into top, body, and finish notes the same way perfumers do, so you can predict what you'll like instead of guessing.

Bylines: Lost Angel flavor reviews, taste-profile guides, dessert series breakdowns.

Dante Carter

Street-context editor

LA-bred. Spent five years on shop floors before joining the writing side. Dante covers the cultural side of the disposable scene — what's actually selling in Atlanta vs. Phoenix, why Miami Mint moves where it does, how the "near me" intent maps to real buying behavior. If a review starts with a hook that sounds like a real person, it's probably his.

Bylines: Cultural pieces, "near me" geo writeups, why-this-flavor-matters columns.

Editorial Standards

How we keep the byline meaningful:

  • Hands-on, not desk-research. Every device gets activated, charged, and drained at least once before a review goes live. Every flavor pod gets tasted, in a blind rotation with two other profiles, before notes are written.
  • One reviewer per byline. No ghost-written "team" reviews. The name at the top is the person who tasted the pod or pulled the device apart.
  • Specifics over superlatives. "Smooth menthol with a sharp 2-second top note" beats "amazing flavor, you'll love it." We name what's in the puff.
  • We say when a flavor is mid. Not every pod is a winner. If Tropical Boom tastes flat at room temperature vs. chilled, the review says so.
  • No paid placement, no sponsored reviews. We sell Lost Angel devices and that's it — there's no "best pod 2026" listicle quietly funded by a manufacturer.
